Browser extension privacy
This page explains what the Resumetics for Recruiters browser extension reads, what it sends to Resumetics.in, and what stays on your own computer. It is part of our main privacy policy.

What the extension does
You select the text of a resume or profile on a page, click the Resumetics icon, and see an estimated match against one of your own open jobs. You review the result and decide. The extension never rejects, ranks or contacts anyone for you.
What it reads
Only the text you have selected on the page you are on, and only after you click the icon or press the shortcut. It does not read pages in the background, open pages by itself, collect lists of people, or follow links. You can also paste text yourself.
What it sends to us
- Your sign-in. Your email address, to send you a sign-in code, or the confirmation from your Google account that you are the owner of that email address. We use the Google confirmation only to sign you in and do not read anything else from your Google account.
- The text you check. The selected or pasted text is sent over a secure connection to your Resumetics account so it can be compared with the requirements of the job you chose. It is used for that one reply and is not stored on our servers.
- Which job you chose. To compare against its requirements.
What stays on your computer
Your sign-in and the list of people you choose to save are kept in your browser on your own computer. They are not sent to us. You can remove a person, delete the whole list, download it as a file, or sign out from inside the extension. Removing the extension deletes this information.
What we do not do
- We do not sell the text you check or your saved list.
- We do not use the text you check to build profiles of people, or for advertising.
- We do not collect browsing history.
Your responsibility as a recruiter
Resumes and profiles contain personal data about other people. Use the extension only for people you are lawfully considering for a job, follow the rules of the website you are on, and tell people how you use their details when the law asks you to.
