Privacy policy
This explains what we collect when you use Resumetics.in, why, who handles it, and the choices you have. We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 as it applies to us.

Who is responsible
SoftwareToday runs Resumetics.in and decides how your data is used. Contact for privacy questions and requests: info@resumetics.in.
What we collect and why
- Your resume and target role. To work out your estimated fit score and gaps. Resumes in the free check are read in memory to make the result and are not saved.
- Paid report. There are no accounts on Resumetics.in, and we do not save your report or your resume. The report is shown to you on screen and you download the PDF yourself. Once you close the page it is gone. To enforce one resume and one role per code, and the 30-day window to re-run an updated resume, we keep only one-way hashes (values that cannot be turned back into your text).
- Email and payment reference. To send your coupon code, check your payment and answer your queries. We do not store your bank or card details; payment is made by UPI through your own app.
- Newsletter. If you subscribe, your email is used to send career tips. Each email has an unsubscribe link.
- Basic technical data. Such as device and browser type, pages visited and approximate region, to keep the site secure and working.
- Employer visibility. If an employer-facing feature is offered, it is off unless you switch it on, and you can switch it off at any time.
AI processing
If you choose to use AI-assisted parts of the paid report, only the lines being improved (with email addresses, phone numbers and links removed) and role details are sent to our AI service provider, OpenAI. This happens only after you tick the consent box. We ask the provider not to store the text. It is processed on servers that may be outside India. You can use the free check and the rest of the report without ticking that box.
Resume builder
The resume builder runs in your browser. Because there are no accounts, nothing is saved for you on our side. Your details and files are not uploaded unless you use an AI-assisted feature. A draft may be saved in your own browser storage, which you can clear at any time.
Cookies and browser storage
We use small items in your browser storage to remember things like an offer you have seen, a draft, or a coupon code during checkout. We do not use them to build advertising profiles.
Who else handles data
Service providers who help us run the site: hosting (Hostinger), email delivery, our AI provider (OpenAI), and job-data providers (these receive role and city searches, not your resume). They may process data only to provide their service. We do not sell your personal data.
Partners and codes
If you received a code from a partner, the partner sees only whether the code is waiting, used or lapsed. They do not see your resume, role or report.
How long we keep data
Free-check resumes and paid reports: not saved. One-way hashes tied to a code: for the 30-day code window. Email and payment records: as long as needed for support, accounting and legal requirements. Newsletter email: until you unsubscribe.
Your choices and rights
Because we do not keep your resume or report, there is usually nothing to delete; for the little we do hold (email, payment reference, hashes) you can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw consent, or make a complaint. Write to info@resumetics.in from the email you used, and tell us what you need. We will reply within a reasonable time. You may also raise a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India where the law allows.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards such as encrypted connections, limited access, and by not storing your resume or report in the first place. No online service can be completely secure, so please keep your coupon code private.
Children
The service is meant for people who are 18 or older, or who use it with a parent or guardian's consent.

We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do. See also our Terms of use and Payments and refunds.
